Bringing Methamphetamine, Unscrupulous Journalists In Mojokerto Arrested

MOJOKERTO - Brothers and sisters were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pungging Police for carrying methamphetamine-type drugs. Both are residents of Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. One of the perpetrators is an individual claiming to be a journalist.

The siblings, namely HS and A. The two siblings were arrested by the police around Ngrame Village. When securing the two perpetrators, the police confiscated some evidence.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pungging Police, Ipda Kevin Asshabul, confirmed that he had arrested two people who were carrying and storing illegal drug items in the first class. "Yes, methamphetamine, two brothers," Kevin said in his statement Thursday, September 28.

According to Kevin, he just found out that one of the arrested was an individual who claimed to be a journalist. Currently both of them are still being investigated.

"We haven't weighed the evidence yet. There are several plastic clips that we found there," he explained.

Kevin said that his clearer information would be disclosed by the Pungging police chief as soon as possible.

"We are still going to finish (the examination) and are still coordinating with the police chief," he concluded.
