Action 15 Times, Perpetrators Of Theft In Manggarai Finally Arrested

Police officers from the West Manggarai Police arrested AB alias Arsen (28), a resident of Ruan Village, Komba City District, East Manggarai Regency who was the perpetrator of cross-regency theft on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara Province. West Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Ari Satmoko said AB was involved in 15 district-cross theft cases on Flores Island. "This suspect has also been on the wanted list of people (DPO) of the West Manggarai Police who have been wanted for quite a long time and always moved places when committing theft," said Kapolres Ari quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 25. According to the Police Chief, suspect AB alias Arsen (28) was arrested by the Jatanras Komodo Satreskrim West Manggarai Police without a fight on Thursday. Finally, suspect AB was involved in the theft case of a motorbike and Rp3 million belonging to Mahfud Akbar (23), a resident of Gorontalo Village, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency. According to Police Chief AKBP Ari Satmoko, suspect AB was arrested by police investigators when the suspect was in the vicinity of the Siola Labuan Bajo Hotel area, West Manggarai Regency. He added that according to the confession the perpetrators had committed theft in 15 locations in a number of districts on Flores Island, such as in West Manggarai Regency, Ngada Regency and East Flores Regency.

The evidence that was confiscated from the perpetrator consisted of a Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle, three mobile phones of various brands, a key set, three motorcycle STNKs, a wallet along with an ATM and a black selempang bag. "For his actions, the alleged perpetrator will be charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a maximum penalty of nine years in prison," said West Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Ari Satmoko.
