JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta KPU involves dozens of community organizations (ormas) to provide socialization related to the 2024 election to DKI residents, starting from the campaign stage, elections to vote calculations. "So we invite mass organizations, the context to voice how the 2024 election can run smoothly and safely," said KPU Commissioner DKI Jakarta Astri Megatari, Friday, September 22, to be confiscated by Antara. In addition to mass organizations, Astri said it has embraced other parties to participate in the 2024 elections, such as young people or novice voters, academics, and related stakeholders.. So there are many stakeholders that we embrace, not just mass organizations, "said Astri. Based on the schedule set by the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, the registration of prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates is scheduled to start from October 19 to November 25, 2023. As stipulated in Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections (UU of Elections), pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates are proposed by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in elections that meet the requirements for obtaining seats of at least 20 percent of the number of seats in the DPR or obtaining 25 percent of the nationally valid votes in the previous election of members of the DPR. Currently, there are 575 seats in parliament so that pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election must have at least 115 seats in the DPR RI. It could also be that candidate pairs are promoted by political parties or coalitions of political parties participating in the 2019 Election with a total valid vote acquisition of at least 34,992,703 votes.
