JAKARTA - A (15) a junior high school (SMP) student in West Jakarta became a victim of sexual abuse by a private teacher with the initials SO (40) in a house in the Cengkareng area.

Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang said the incident began when the teacher of the mathematics and physics curriculum was asked by the victim's parents to teach their children.

However, in the middle of the learning process, the underage victim received bad treatment from his teacher. The victim's parents even found out about it.

Not accepting his son being a victim of sexual abuse, SO was reported to the Cengkareng Police.

"The victim's parents reported it to the Cengkareng Police. We arrested the perpetrators," he said.

Meanwhile, the dossier of the sexual abuse case on the suspect SO is complete and ready to be transferred to the West Jakarta District Attorney.

"The case file has been declared complete (P21) and the next stage is the delegation of suspects, files, and evidence to the West Jakarta District Attorney," he said.

The transfer of this file was carried out on Thursday, September 21. Furthermore, the legal process is in the hands of the West Jakarta District Attorney.

"We hope that SO (40) is cooperative for stage 2, then the case is handled by the prosecutor's office for further examination and is scheduled for trial," he said.
