DKI Provincial Government Asked To Add Odd Even Road Section On Jabodebek LRT Track

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD M. Taufik Zoelkifli asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, in this case, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, to add roads that are included in the odd-even policy. The proposed plus road section is along the Jabodebek LRT track in the DKI Jakarta area. This addition, according to Taufik, also needs to be equipped with adequate coverage of public transportation routes. "I propose odd-even. In addition, I also compiled Transjakarta routes and Jak Lingko (Mikrotrans) public transportation along the Jabodebek LRT route," Taufik said in a short message, Thursday, September 21. The Jabodebek LRT, which is now operating, has 18 stations connecting the Jakarta, Depok, and Bekasi areas. In the Jakarta area, the Jabodebek LRT route passes through a number of stations, namely Dukuh Atas, Setiabudi, Rasuna Said, Kuningan, Pancoran, Cikoko, Ciliwung, Cawang, TMII, Kampung Rambutan, Ciracas, and Halim. Taufik views that the odd-even proposal on the Jabodebek LRT track section needs to be implemented in order to reduce traffic density in the capital city. At the same time, it can make people move from private vehicles to public transportation. "Yesterday at the meeting I spoke to the Head of the Transportation Service that it is necessary to adjust or engineer traffic again after the Jabedebek LRT operates so that optimally reduce congestion," he explained. Taufik explained that the Department of Transportation has accommodated this proposal and will review the effectiveness of traffic if the odd-even on the Jabodebek LRT track is enforced. "This depends on the Dishub study. We hope that it will be reported immediately by the Transportation Agency," said the Secretary of the PKS faction of the DKI DPRD. The odd-even policy was originally implemented at 26 road points throughout Jakarta. Roads that are included in the odd-even scheme include Jalan Pintu Besar, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, and Jalan MH Thamrin. Then, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Jalan Panglima Polim, Jalan Fatmawati, Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Balikpapan, and Jalan Kyai Caringin. There are also Tomang Raya Street, General S Parman Street, Gatot Subroto Street, MT Haryono Street, HR Rasuna Said Street, and DI Pandjaitan Street.

Then, Jalan Jenderal A. Yani, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Salemba Raya on the West side, Jalan Salemba Raya on the East side starting from the Paseban Raya intersection to Diponegoro Street, Kramat Raya Street, Senen Station Street, and Gunung Sahari Street. Meanwhile, the odd-even operational time starts at 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB. Then, in the afternoon at 16.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.
