Three Most Types Of Violations Occur During Zebra Operation

JAKARTA - Operation Zebra Jaya 2023 has been held for three days starting Monday, September 18. The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya recorded three types of violations that are often committed by motorists.

"The average seat belt (security belt), the use of cellphones, and some are odd-even," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman to reporters, Thursday, September 21.

In addition to the three types of violations, driving against the direction is still happening. Although, the number is not much.

However, this type of violation is one of the focuses of taking action in Operation Zebra Jaya 2023. This is because high potential causes traffic accidents.

"The number of accidents until the third day is 16 incidents, 1 death. This is really what we regret, maish, there are victims who died during the operation," he said.

On the other hand, Latif also conveyed the number of violations during the operation. Around 360 motorists have been fined using static e-TLE and mobile e-TLE.

Then, there were 2,560 motorists who were prosecuted manually. However, the sanctions given are not a trip but a warning.

"We are aggressively taking action against all violations, namely 2,560 violations recorded, we are still giving warnings. Among them, maybe it is still an air pollution situation, we are still tightening the tightening and we are working with several workshops to conduct emission tests for free," said Latif.

For information, Operation Zebra 2023 will be held from Monday, September 18 to Sunday 1 October. In this operation, it targets 15 forms of traffic violations, the following details;

1. Drivers of four or two wheels that go against the current.

2. Drivers or drivers under the influence of alcohol.

3. Drivers or drivers use cellphones while driving.

4. Not wearing a SNI helmet.

5. Not wearing a safety belt.

6. Drivers exceed the specified speed limit.

7. Drivers ride more than one person.

8. Drivers or underage drivers and do not have a driver's license.

9. Two-wheeled, four-wheeled or more motorized vehicles that do not meet the road requirements.

10. Two-wheeled motorized vehicles, four-wheelers or more that are not equipped with a Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK).

11. Violating the road markings.

12. Two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles that are not equipped with standard equipment.

13. The motorized vehicle that installs the rotator is not its designation.

14. Controlling four-wheeled vehicles wearing secret number plates.

15. Control of illegal parking.
