MAKASSAR - The auction for the position of head of service at the Makassar City Government, South Sulawesi was heavily criticized by the DPRD.

Kasrudi's member of Commission A in the field of law and government criticized him. According to him, the auction of positions nearing the end of the term of office of Acting Mayor of Makassar, Rudy Djamaluddin, is a waste of budget. Moreover, Danny Pomanto will soon be appointed mayor of Makassar.

"We are auctioning our positions from Commission A, we know that there is a budget. That's people's money, now what is being auctioned is not in the people's interest. There is no point in auctioning positions now, there is a mayor and it will also be auctioned back," said Kasrudi. , told VOI, Friday, February 5.

The position auction conducted by the Acting Mayor of Makassar is considered not in line with the vision and mission of Prof. Rudy Djamaluddin. The DPRD said there was a possibility that echelon II officials would be replaced after Dany Pomanto-Fatmawati Rusdi was officially inaugurated.

"So if I appeal to ASN, those who want to register once in a while it's useless to register, even if they pass they are replaced again, there is an elected mayor who will do that," he explained.

He suggested using the budget for handling the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because the selection process for echelon II officials requires a large budget.

"Why would Pak Pj want to spend a budget there? While Makassar is currently having COVID-19 and floods, Pak Acting should take care of it," said Kasrudi.

The Makassar City Government opens an open promotion selection or position auction for echelon II officials. There is also a series of auction processes starting on Friday, February 5.

There are 8 positions being auctioned namely

1. Head of Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDMD).

2. Regional Asset Management and Finance Agency (BPKAD).

3. Environmental Agency (DLH).

4. Public Works Agency (PU).

5. Spatial Planning Service.

6. Education Agency (Disdik),

7. Fisheries and Agriculture Service (DP2),

8. Secretary of the Makassar City DPRD.

Those who pass the administrative selection will take the competency test starting on February 9, then the field competency test or interview on February 10, submitting the selection results on February 11, and finally the selection announcement on February 15.

After a series of processes begins with the announcement of the opening of the position auction. Subsequently, registration and receipt of files on February 6 to 8, administrative selection on February 8, and announcement of administrative selection on February 9.
