Unidentified Man Found Dead In Ciliwung River, Gunung Sahari

JAKARTA - An unidentified middle-aged corpse was found drowned in the Ciliwung River, Gunung Sahari Street, Gunung Sahari Utara Village, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 20.

Kapolsek Sawah Besar Kompol Dhanar Dhoni Vernandhie confirmed the discovery of a man's body in Ciliwung River. The victim is estimated to be 50 years old.

"From the results of visual identification from the Central Jakarta Metro Police identification team, no (a result of abuse on the victim's body) was found," said Kompol Dhanar when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, September 20.

The Sawah Besar Police suspect that the cause of death was drowning in the Ciliwung River, Sawah Besar.

"The cause of the temporary suspicion was due to drowning. However, it is still under further investigation," he said.

For further investigation, the victim's body was evacuated by firefighters from the Ciliwung River. Then the victim's body was put in a body bag belonging to the DKI Jakarta Parks Service and taken to the RSCM.

"Taken to the RSCM for further investigation," he said.
