Unresolved The Case Of An Empty House In Matraman Becomes A Snake Nest, Residents Find 2 More Big Pythons

JAKARTA The problem of empty houses has not been resolved as a suggestion for a sugarball in Gang Janur, RW 12, Utan Kayu Selatan Village, Matraman, East Jakarta, local residents to get two large pythons in the same location.

Whereas previously, residents and fire and rescue officers (Gulkarmat) had evacuated 13 snakes from inside the empty house. However, the evacuation of dozens of snakes did not make local residents feel relieved.

The discovery of the large python occurred on Tuesday night, September 19. The two pythons were found in one of the rooms hiding in piles of wood and other used goods.

Local residents also made arrests while recording videos as evidence that the snake in the empty house was still there.

"It is true that there were two snakes (discovered again)," said the head of RT 12/12, Yanti when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, September 20.

He said that currently residents have collected a total of 16 snakes found from inside the empty house.

Dozens Of Years Of Uninhabited Houses Become Snake Nests

For 15 years, the owner left the house empty. Even now, the house is a snake's nest.

Rini Wijiastuti (48), a resident of RT 12/12, Utan Kayu Selatan Village, said that residents had evacuated 13 pythons from the empty house.

Rini, whose house is only 3 plots from where the snake was found, admitted that she felt disturbed. According to Rini, previously the empty house was occupied by the owner 15 years ago. However, after the owner of the house fell ill, the house began to be left empty.

"It's a place not being treated, it's not taken care of either. It doesn't look like it. But I don't know, suddenly there was news of the discovery of a snake. I knew it was here and there, not a month ago. But the time period was that the snake came out very quickly. But the position (the snake came out) at night after the Maghrib (the snake) ran out," Rini told reporters, Friday, September 15.

Protests not only there, residents also demanded that the owner of the house immediately dismantle the total house so that firefighters can clean up the snake hiding in it.

The local women were furious with the owner of the empty house for not allowing their houses to be checked and cleaned completely. It is not known why the owner did not allow the officers to dismantle the empty house to catch snakes that scared residents.

"The search process for places suspected of being snake nests is not maximally cleaned," said one local resident.

It is known that the owner of the empty house lives in the Tangerang area. Residents are also upset because since the discovery of the dozens of snakes, many neighbors have not been able to sleep well for fear of snakes entering the houses of local residents.

"He likes to sleep well, comfortable, we are wary of the arrival of snakes. Just dismantle it... unload it. " shouted a woman in the crowd.

Rini Wijiastuti (48), an empty house neighbor, said that the discovery of the snake disturbed the peace of residents in Gang Mancung.

"Since there was a snake, I slept not calm. I didn't sleep above anymore, so I kept sleeping under. I was worried because I had a small child too," he explained.
