JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Action Task Force (TPPO) formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has arrested more than a thousand suspects. The action was carried out during the period from June 5 to September 19, 2023. "The number of suspects in the TIP case is 1,011 people," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, in his statement, Wednesday, September 20. The thousands of suspects were based on the results of the investigation of 842 police reports (LP) received at the Bareskrim Polri level and the police ranks.. In addition, from the series of disclosures of TIP cases, the task force managed to save more than two thousand people. "The number of TIP victims who were rescued was 2,693 people," he said.

Thousands of victims of TIP were deceived by several modes used by the suspects. The mode that is often done is to offer jobs abroad as household assistants. "The modes used as migrant workers or household assistants (PRT) are 522, crew members as many as 7, prostitutes as many as 282, and exploitation of children as many as 69," said Ramadhan.
