CIANJUR - Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park Center (TNGGP) handed over the investigation to the police regarding the discovery of a man's body in the Gunung Gede area, precisely in the Leuit Salawe pilgrimage zone, Padaluyu Village, Cugenang District.

Head of the TNGGP Center, Sapto Aji Prabowo, said that the discovery of the body of an unidentified man was first reported to officers who came to the location. The corpse of a man who had decomposed was swallowed up in the jungle zone where there were many tall trees.

"The body was found not on the hiking trail but in the Suryakencana Square area. We cannot confirm whether it is pilgrims or climbers," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.
