Jambi Police Name 5 Suspects Alleged Corruption Cases In Pelindo

JAMBI - The Corruption Sub-Directorate III Team of the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus has named five suspects for alleged corruption in the work of upgrading the Jambi Port Council Pandu Teluk Station (Pelindo) for the 2019/2021 Fiscal Year. The five suspects named by the investigative team are ST (GM PT Pelindo II Jambi Port Branch 2019-2021), CRA (GM PT Pelindo II Jambi Port Branch 2021-2023), AR (Deputy GM Operations and Engineering Pelindo II Jambi Port Branch 2020-2023), YL (Managing Director of PT Way Berhak Perkasa) and MIH (Supervisory Consultant). "It was found that state losses amounted to Rp3.9 billion and investigators in the investigation process have succeeded in carrying out the confiscation process as a form of recovering state financial losses in the form of cash amounting to Rp3.4 billion," said Acting Deputy Director of Special Criminal Investigation AKBP Slamet Widodo in Jambi, Antara, Friday, September 15. There are still remaining state losses that have not been recovered in the amount of Rp. 499.75 million, then investigators will remain consistent to recover the remaining losses. This case began in 2018 when PT Pelindo II budgeted a multi-year investment budget to build the guide station. On December 3, 2019 to January 31, 2020, a tender process was carried out. In the tender process, PT. Way Berhak Perkasa was the winner, then on February 21, 2020, a contract was signed between ST's brother as GM Pelindo Jambi and YL's brother as President Director of PT. Way Berhak Perkasa with a contract value of IDR 12 billion with an implementation period of 240 calendars. On August 11, 2020, YL as the contractor transferred all physical work to other parties. On June 11, 2021, PT Pelindo II (Persero) will terminate its contract with physical progress of 91.946 percent and Pelindo II will pay the winner of the tender of Rp. 10 billion. After a joint investigation process was carried out by the Tipidkor Sub-Directorate of the Jambi Police together with the Tipidkor Unit of the East Tanjung Jabung Police, several unlawful acts were found. Acts against the law include the tender process that has been regulated, reports of engineered work progress, work addendum processes that do not comply with the provisions, transferring all work to other contractors and other unlawful acts. As a result of the lack of specifications, both volume and quality, and the failure of the function of retaining the cliffs, calculations were carried out with state financial losses carried out by the Auditor Team from the Jambi Province Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

For his actions, five suspects are threatened with Article 2 paragraph 1 and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code with a minimum imprisonment of four years and a maximum of 20 years with a fine of at least Rp. 200 million and a maximum of Rp. 1 billion.
