1,057 Indosurya KSP Victims Ask To Meet The Attorney General Because They Have Not Received Compensation

JAKARTA - Thousands of victims of the Indosurya Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP) want to meet Attorney General ST Burhanuddin. They wanted to ask for clarity on their fate after the Supreme Court (MA) sentenced the cooperative boss, Henry Surya.

"1,057 victims of KSP Indosurya have not received compensation for losses and further explanations regarding the mechanism for the recovery of losses," said the legal adviser for the victims of KSP Indosurya, Febri Diansyah in his statement, Thursday, September 14.

Febri said the audience letter had been sent to the Attorney General and the Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Asset Recovery Center. He hopes that the victims can convey their complaints.

"As well as conveying that the execution of the verdict should be carried out immediately for the sake of upholding legal certainty and justice for," he said.

Meanwhile, another lawyer for Indosurya victim, Rasamala Aritonang, who and Febri are members of the Visi Law Office, said they had identified Henry's assets. As a result, there are approximately 202 property units, 180 cars, and some money, both cash and in the account.

"Based on the results of our identification, there are several luxury assets that have attracted our attention, such as luxury villas in Bali, several units of office buildings and luxury houses in various elite areas of the capital," said Rasamala.

Then there are also several luxury cars, such as Rolls Royce cars with Royce Wrath type, a number of Volkswagen cars, several Mercedes Benz cars, several Toyota Alphard and Toyota Vellfire cars, and hundreds of cars with various other brands.

In total, the cash and money contained in the confiscated accounts that will later be distributed to the victims reached approximately Rp52 billion. Thus, it is hoped that the losses of these thousands of people can be recovered.

"Although the return of losses to the victims certainly has not been able to return the victim's condition as a whole, at least we and the victims believe that the state is also present in ensuring justice in the midst of criminal acts, through this loss-returning mechanism," Rasamala explained.

Previously, Henry Surya was officially convicted in the money laundering case (TPPU) of KSP Indosurya customer funds. The West Jakarta District Attorney also executed the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) regarding the sentence of 18 years in prison for Henry Surya to the Class I Detention Center of Central Jakarta or the Salemba Detention Center.

The execution was carried out on Tuesday, June 13 based on an order from the Head of the West Jakarta District Attorney Number: PRINT-3163/M.1.12.4/Eku.3/6/2023. Apart from Henry, his party also executed the convict June Indria to the Class IIA Jakarta Women's Prison, Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, at the same time.

June was sentenced to 14 years in prison based on the Supreme Court's decision. Meanwhile, Henry Surya was sentenced to 18 years in prison at the cassation level and was required to pay a fine of Rp. 15 billion, a subsidiary of 8 months in prison.
