The Prosecutor's Office Searches The Contractor's House Related To The Bekasi Regency DPRD Bribery Case

The Investigating Team of the Bekasi District Attorney's Office, West Java searched the house of a hospital in the Kebalen Village area, Babelan/ANTARA/Pradita Kurniawan Syah District.

BEKASI - The Bekasi District Attorney's Office, West Java searched the house of a hospital in the Kebalen Village area, Babelan District as part of the investigation stage related to the alleged corruption case of gratification or bribery involving the leadership of the DPRD.

"The investigative team managed to conduct a search at the hospital's house, witnessed by the local neighborhood head and cousin and aunt or native of the hospital," said Head of the Special Crimes Section at the Bekasi District Attorney Ronald Thomas Mendrofa as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 14.

It is known that the hospital is a private contractor who is suspected of having provided two units of luxury vehicles with the Mitsubishi Pajero trademark and BMW sedan to SL as the alleged recipient who is the Chair of the PDI-P DPC as well as the Deputy Chair of the Bekasi Regency DPRD.

The search effort was carried out after at the first to fourth summons, the hospital did not go to the prosecutor's office to fulfill the invitation to investigate and was even suspected of having hidden himself from the officers.

Ronald explained that the search lasted for two hours starting at 14.00-16.00 WIB by combing every room. The investigative team found a number of documents allegedly related to the gratification case at the house that had been abandoned by the hospital for several weeks.

"We got several documents related to his company's CV, communication tools that were left just like that, to the DP (Down Payment) receipt for the car purchase. Then there was a safe but it couldn't be opened. We confiscated everything for further study but the safe didn't," he said.

From the results of the search, investigators then examined the authenticity and validity of the confiscated files, including the down payment receipt for the purchase of the Mitsubishi Pajero unit with a nominal value of IDR 5 million paid in 2021.

Ronald also confirmed to relatives of the hospital regarding the whereabouts of the person concerned but none of them claimed to know where the hospital is currently. After it was discovered that he had left to complete the Umrah pilgrimage on Monday (11/9), the hospital had not yet met his family.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Bekasi District Attorney's Office, Rahmadhy Seno Lumakso, said that his party had coordinated with the relevant authorities to track down the whereabouts of the hospital, including sending letters of application for discontinuation to Immigration and the Indonesian Attorney General's Intelligence Hour.

According to him, there are several techniques to determine the whereabouts of the hospital. One of them is through the 'Adhyaksa Monitoring Center', coordinating with the center to detect the whereabouts of the person concerned.

"That is, several ways later, to detect the whereabouts of him (RS). Of course we use investigative techniques to find out someone's whereabouts. What is certain is that we convey every progress of the progress of the investigation to the public," he said.
