Sukamto explained that the efficacy of the TDV vaccine circulating in Indonesia was 80 percent. This amount can be achieved when it has reached the predetermined dose, which is twice the vaccination. According to the world health organization World Health Organization (WHO), vaccine efficacy is the ability of vaccines to provide benefits for vaccinated individuals. The benefits referred to are the benefits of living a healthy life and being protected from dangerous diseases. "The requirements for DHF vaccination must be carried out when the condition is healthy and not allergic to vaccines, as well as people aged 6 to a maximum of 45 years, two doses or two vaccinations," explained Sukamto. In fact, in various other countries TDV can be given to the public until the age of 60 years. However, Sukamto said, the distribution permit obtained through BPOM in Indonesia is currently a maximum age of 45 years. Similar to vaccines in general, Sukamto said that people with weak or low immune systems are not recommended to carry out these vaccinations. If in doubt, you can consult a doctor first. "All healthy people can be vaccinated, but people who are taking immune system suppression drugs, such as immunosuppressants, for example, then people with genetically weak immune conditions, should not be given," he added.
