JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror transferred 26 suspected terrorists from Gorontalo and Makassar to Jakarta. Most of the suspected terrorists are members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Makassar.

"Of the 19 members who were arrested, all were involved or were members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in Makassar. This group, said Rusdi, is known to have planned and been involved in a number of acts of terrorism at home and abroad. In fact, the plan was to carry out a suicide bombing.

"This group certainly has a plan of activities that will disrupt the social security in this country because this group has the ministry to carry out suicide bombing activities," he said.

Of the dozens of Makassar terrorist suspects, some of them have family ties consisting of a father named Ruli Lian, wife Ulfa Handayani, and five children. They were the perpetrators of the bombing of the cathedral church in Zulu Philippines in 2019.

"Ruli Lian Zeke and Ulfa Handayani have five children. One child is now being detained by the Philippine security forces for being involved in acts of terrorism on behalf of Cici. Then two joined the Abu Sayyaf group in the Southern Philippines, one is still in Syria, one is caught out of 19 people in Makassar. , "he explained.

"Then we have Andi Baso who was involved in the Oikemene church bombing case in Samarinda 2016. This means that from this group there are fathers, mothers, children and in-laws involved in acts of terrorism," he continued.

Meanwhile, the other seven people are the Gorontalo terrorist group. They are also involved in the terrorist group Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).

"In Gorontalo, this group is known as Ikhwan Pahuwato. This is a JAD group affiliated to ISIS. They have prepared themselves for physical training, self-defense training, then also archery training, knife throwing training and shooting training with air rifles," he explained.

In fact, this group also has the ability to assemble bombs. With this capability, they plan to spread acts of terror at a number of points in Gorontalo, including facilities belonging to the Police.

"This group plans to attack Mako Polri, official houses of police officers and houses of officials in Gorontalo and also plans to rob several shops around Gorontalo," he said.
