PPP Please Immediately Meeting Democrats Support Ganjar Pranowo

After the disposal of the Coalition for Change for Unity, the Democratic Party became the center of attention of the country's politics. Rumors of communication between the PDI-P and the Democratic Party have strengthened to raise speculation about the possibility of joining the ranks of the coalition that supports Ganjar Pranowo.

Spokesperson for the United Development Party, Achmad Baidowi, expressed his hopes for this potential.

"Moreover, Mba Puan and Mas AHY have met, even though the follow-up from the meeting is still being awaited. Yes, hopefully, we can work together with us," Baidowi said, Friday, September 8.

On the other hand, Baidowi also views that the discourse of a new axis that was previously a topic of conversation now tends to fade. Rumors of a new axis previously mentioned by the Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

In a press conference on Anies Baswedan's stance on choosing Muhaimin Iskandar as a vice presidential candidate, SBY said there was a minister in the government cabinet who tried to create a new political axis between the PPP, Democrats, and the United Development Party.

"The issue of the new axis so far, how come I see it getting thinner. At first it was a bit quiet, yes, then now it is running low, running low. Yes, the name is politics, anything is possible," said Baidowi.

Seeing the current political conditions, Baidowi also doubts the formation of an additional coalition axis that will compete in the 2024 presidential election. Furthermore, he is also not sure that the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) will not present the names of candidate candidates, considering that the party led by Ahmad Syaikhu also has a number of classy cadres.

One of the important factors in strengthening the collaboration rumors between the Democratic Party and the PDIP is the discourse of a meeting between the Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and SBY.

Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Jansen Sitindaon, welcomed this discourse. "If the meeting of Mr. SBY-Mrs. Mega or the Democratic-PDIP coalition occurs very well, yes. Not only for the presidential election, but even further for our country. The national reconciliation that is expected by all Indonesian people will finally occur," said Jansen.

However, the Democratic Party has not yet decided to join which camp after leaving the Coalition for Change for Unity. Democrats said they would find the right time to announce a new political stance after revoking their support for Anies Baswedan in the presidential election.
