Woman Burns In Krendang Tambora Convection Warehouse, Police Find Out The Cause

JAKARTA - A resident suffered burns due to a fire incident in a densely populated residential area in the North Krendang area, RT 03, 04 in RW 02, Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta.

Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama confirmed that there were injured victims from a fire in his area.

"There is only one resident who was injured, we will report the progress later," said Kompol Putra to VOI, Friday, September 8.

Currently, the Tambora Police have conducted a crime scene investigation and put up a police line at the location of the fire.

"Today, we are still examining witnesses. The cause is suspected to be an initial short circuit in the electric current," he said.

The police chief has also not been able to confirm whether there are casualties or not, his party is still checking.

"We are still checking whether there were casualties or not, so far there have been no casualties," he said.

Previously, it was reported that 33 semi-permanent houses and a convection warehouse on Jalan Krendang Utara, RT 03, 04 in RW 02, Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta, were scorched by fire on Thursday night, September 7.

The fire continued to grow because many materials were flammable. This big fire was only extinguished on Friday, September 8, in the early hours of the morning.

"The alleged cause of the fire was due to an electrical short circuit. As a result of the fire, as many as 252 people out of 63 families were affected by the fire. The loss was estimated at more than IDR 1 billion," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin when contacted by VOI, Friday, September 8.
