KPK Investigate Reasons For Cak Imin Agreeing To Procurement Of The TKI Protection System That Became Bancakan At The Ministry Of Manpower

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin to explain the reason for agreeing to the procurement of the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) while serving as Minister of Manpower (Menaker) for the 2009-2014 period.

"The witness was present and his knowledge was explored, among others, related to the origin of the witness policy as a budget user, agreeing to a project to procure a TKI protection system at the Indonesian Ministry of Finance," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, September 8.

Not only that, Cak Imin was also asked to explain the role of the three suspects in the procurement of the system, said Ali. The KPK believes that the information conveyed by the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) sheds light on the alleged corruption that occurred.

"The investigative team also continues to complete the filing so that the investigation process can be completed effectively and immediately provide legal certainty for related parties," he said.

As previously reported, Cak Imin gave a statement before KPK investigators regarding the alleged corruption at the Ministry of Manpower on Thursday, September 7. After being questioned for five hours, he admitted that he had explained everything he knew.

"Everything I've heard and God willing, everything I remember, all I know I've explained," he told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building.

Cak Imin hopes that the KPK will immediately resolve the corruption case in the procurement of the TKI protection system. Cak Imin felt that his explanation was clear even though he did not want to go into detail.

As for this case, the anti-corruption commission has announced that three suspects have been named in the case of procuring the protection system. Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Manpower I Nyoman Darmanta is reportedly one of the parties involved.
