JAKARTA - Controlling a number of used goods and waste as well as other illegal buildings in the Pulogadung Industrial area, Cakung District, was tough. Hundreds of joint personnel of the TNI, Polri and Satpol PP failed to carry out demolition efforts because they met resistance from illegal building owners.

As is known, the area to be put in order will later be used as a Green Open Space (RTH) or City Forest. Currently, the area owned by PT JIEP is still filled with dozens of stalls of plastic waste, iron and other used goods.

This green line land has been misused into commercial places by irresponsible persons for years.

"Still negotiating with residents, residents are trying to fight back because they are not satisfied with the control plan. Even though they also do not have a solid basis for this land. This is PT JIEP's land," said one of the Satpol PP officers who declined to name VOI, Friday, September 8.

From VOI's observation at the location, hundreds of joint officers are still on standby at the location because they are still waiting for the results of negotiations between PT JIEP and the land residents.

A few minutes later at around 11.30 WIB, joint officers withdrew troops from the control location.

"The execution will definitely be, while the troops are withdrawn. Later today it will remain an execution of control, after Friday prayers," he said.

Even so, a group of youth community organizations (ormas) were also observed visiting the location of the control. It is not yet known what the role of the mass organization came to the scene. Meanwhile, plainclothes officers are still placed at the points of the control location.
