JAKARTA - Sudanese military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan left for Qatar for an official visit to discuss the crisis that occurred in his country and bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a statement, Sudan's ruling Sovereignty Council chaired by al-Burhan said he would hold talks with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to discuss "problems of common interest and the situation in Sudan."
Al-Burhan will be accompanied by Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali al-Sadiq and intelligence chief Ahmad Muffadal.
However, the statement did not mention the duration of his visit or if there were other destinations in the al-Burhan schedule.
As reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, September 7, this visit was the third overseas visit by al-Burhan after Egypt and South Sudan since the war broke out in Sudan in mid-April.
