What is Babinsa?

Summarized from various sources, the Village Guidance Officer (Babinsa) is the frontmost TNI territorial unit, which is in direct contact with the community. Babinsa is under Military Rayon Command (Koramil), part of the Military District Command (Kodim) and Military Resort Command (Korem), which raids the Military Regional Command (Kodam).

Babinsa is divided into three types, namely:

Babinsa Salary

As mentioned above, Babinsa can be held by NCO or TNI Tamtama with the rank of Corporal One, to Sergeant Major in Koramil, Indonesian Navy Post, or Indonesian Air Force Post.

Thus, the amount of salary received by Babinsa will be different, depending on the rank.

Based on Government Regulation Number 16 of 2019 concerning the Second Amendment to Government Regulation Number 28 of 2001 concerning the Salary Regulation of Indonesian National Armed Forces Members, a TNI soldier with the rank of Corporal One is entitled to a salary of Rp. 1,858,900 to Rp. 2,870,900.

Meanwhile, TNI soldiers with the rank of Sergeant Major have the right to a salary of Rp2,307,400 to Rp3,791,700.

Especially TNI soldiers who are non-commissioned village coaches, they will receive allowances ranging from IDR 900,000 per month.
