JAKARTA – Meeting between the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) TNI Admiral Muhammad Ali and the Chief of Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Vice Admiral (VADM) Mark Hammond, at the Russel Office, discussing a number of points of cooperation between the Indonesian Navy (AL) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
TNI Admiral Muhammad Ali and VADM Mark Hammond discussed several topics of cooperation, which were considered as a basis and mutual understanding in improving and expanding the field of cooperation between the TNI AL and RAN.
Kasal accompanied by Assistant Intelligence Chief (Asintel Kasal), Operations Assistant Chief (Asops Kasal), Special Staff of Chief and Deputy Assistant for Planning to the Chief of Naval Staff (Waasrena Kasal), visited and toured the Australian Maritime Border Command facility.
As a form of cooperation and harmonious diplomatic relations between the Indonesian Navy and the RAN, in Indonesian waters a Passing Exercise (Passex) has been carried out between the Indonesian Navy and elements of the KRI Sultan Hasanuddin (SHD) - 366 and the submarine KRI Alugoro (ALG) - 405 with RAN Submarine namely HMAS Waller-75.
