MEDAN - Rudi Sutrisno (50) died by stones, thrown by a man with mental disorder while crossing Medan-Lubuk Pakam road, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

Head of the District Police (Kapolsek) of Tanjung Morawa, Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Sawangin said, the victim and his future wife Dini Armayami, when the incident happened, was riding a motorcycle. From a distance of 3 meters, the victim saw an adult male standing on the side of the road holding a large rock with both hands.

"Then when the vehicle approached the perpetrator, he threw a large stone shard of cement at the victim's body," said Sawangin, Wednesday, February 3.

Sawangin explained that the stone hit the victim's left rib. Not accepting the perpetrator's actions, the victim and his future wife reported the incident at the Tanjung Morawa Police.

"Community Police Officer (Bhabinkamtibmas) picket personnel, as well as the Tanjung Morawa Police Criminal Investigation Unit directly chase the perpetrators, and after being caught securing the perpetrators to the Tanjung Morawa Police Office," said Sawangin.

After experiencing the throwing, the victim was then taken for treatment at the Pratama clinic, Limau Manis Village, Tanjung Morawa District. After leaving the clinic, the victim then was taken back to his house.

"Then at 21.30 WIB, the family saw that the victim was in shock as a result of the injury and the family took the victim to the Siti Fatmawati Hospital. There the victim was declared dead," he continued.

Investigations are still being carried out against the perpetrators of the throwing. However, it is suspected that the man without an identity has mental disorders.

"After being interrogated, he rambled (digressing). It could be said that he was mentally ill," he explained.

The police planned to take the perpetrator to a mental hospital, to confirm his mental condition.

"Keep doing the processing. We will immediately send him to a mental hospital for examination. So the statement whether he is mentally disturbed or not is not from the police but from a referral or a health verdict," he said.

Until now, said Sawangin, the identity of the suspect was also unknown. Because, when asked by the police, the perpetrators mentioned different identities.

"The ID was not in his pocket, when we asked his name he laughed and always smiled. He said his name was "this", later he said his name was "that", his name changed three to four times," he said.
