Semarang City Government Starts Auction 3 Positions For OPD And BLUD Leaders

SEMARANG - Semarang City Government, Central Java, has started conducting auctions of three positions for the leadership of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and regional public service agencies (BLUD) which have been empty so far. "Two days ago, we started auctioning positions. There are three positions that have started to be auctioned," said Semarang Mayor Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu in Semarang, Antara, Wednesday, August 30. The three positions are each head of the Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPM-PTSP), head of the Personnel, Education and Training Agency (BKPP), and director of the KRMT Hospital Wongsonegoro Semarang. Ita, Hevearita's nickname, said the city government did not immediately auction off all positions of OPD leadership which were still vacant to optimize bureaucratic arrangements. "I don't want to immediately brand (all) because we are nata (menata). Before the assessment, there was a competency test for my friends where they could live," he said. According to him, the auction participants for positions are open to the scope of Central Java Province to fill the three positions that are being auctioned. "(Participants) we arrange it to the provincial level. Anyone can register because the rules are at least in one province so that if someone wants to register, we are welcome. Of course, there will be processes," he said. For other vacant positions, Ita said that a gradual auction of positions would be conducted to fill the vacancy. "Later, while structuring. This is completely empty, there are more stages for structuring. The target is that on October 25th, at least it has been inaugurated," he concluded. A number of OPD head positions within the Semarang City Government are currently vacant because the previous leadership entered retirement and some were rotated, including the head of the Public Works Service, the head of the Education Office, and the head of the Semarang City Trade Office. To fill the vacancy for leadership of a number of OPDs, the Semarang City Government has temporarily appointed an executor to replace the duties of the head of the service. Meanwhile, the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Semarang City hopes that the auction of positions that will be conducted to fill the vacancy of the OPD head position is adjusted to competence. "We hope that as the DPRD, it will be adjusted to the capabilities or formal education, then the experience," said the chairman of the Semarang City DPRD Kadarlusman. Every OPD, said Pilus, his nickname, has its own field characteristics that must be handled by people who meet the competence of main tasks and functions (tupoksi) according to the work sector.
