Airlangga Instructs Golkar Cadres In The Regions To Win Prabowo In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party DPP issued an instruction letter to socialize Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate promoted by his party. Golkar also asked his cadres to fight to win Prabowo in the 2024 presidential election.

The instruction letter numbered SI-44/Golkar/VII/2023 concerning the Socialization of Mr. Prabowo Subianto as the Presidential Candidate for the Republic of Indonesia. The letter was signed by Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto and Golkar Secretary General Lodweijk F Paulus on August 26, 2023.

Golkar DPP chairman Dave Laksono confirmed the letter was issued by the Golkar DPP. Dave said that without the instruction letter, Golkar cadres would fight to win Prabowo.

"Golkar has set a political choice for the upcoming presidential election, and that choice is Pak Prabowo. So, actually without the instruction being issued, it is our obligation to socialize to win Prabowo in the upcoming presidential election," said Dave Wednesday, August 30.

This letter is addressed to the Chairperson of the Golkar DPD in provinces and regencies/cities throughout Indonesia. The following is the instructions:

1. Immediately disseminate Mr. Prabowo Subianto as a candidate for President of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 Presidential Election, according to the declaration of support for 4 (four) Political Parties (Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PKB and PAN)

2. Consolidating all administrators of the provincial, district/city Golkar Party DPD, members of the provincial and district/city DPRD FPG to win Mr. Prabowo Subianto as President of 2024-2029

3. Hold intensive communication and coordination with fellow supporting parties

4. Carry out this instruction as well as possible with full responsibility.
