Sandiaga Uno Responds To The Discourse On The Ganjar-Anies Duet

MAKASSAR - United Development Party (PPP) politician Sandiaga Salahuddin Unome responded to the discourse on the duet of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election.

"Regarding this, I continue to coordinate, as of today there has been no coordination with the PDI-P. Our party is bound by a political agreement," Sandiaga said in Makassar as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.

Sandiaga stated that he had fully submitted the decision to the party regarding the discourse of the duet between Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Rasyid Baswedan.

"However, we will also ask for directions from the Acting (Plt.) Ketum Mardiono how do we move forward. We are below, the term (vehicle) is already three teeth. In South Sulawesi, it is already three teeth and next month it will go into fourth gear," he emphasized.

However, Sandi said, the discourse shows that the reality in the midst of the political situation of his party must consolidate in terms of winning the 2024 General Election.

"Of course, we need to respond to this news wisely, PPP will consolidate. However, we remain focused on accelerating development," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy to reporters.

According to him, if it becomes the direction of the future struggle, his party ensures that it can answer the challenges of society. There is a desire for struggle in accelerating development and continuing development programs in the future.

"If it becomes an agreement, we also want to invite the cooperation of the Democratic Party, especially AHY (Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono), and PKS for the future," he said.

"We ensure that if we consolidate and merge, we must also include all elements in the concept of sustainable development," he said.

Regarding the future presidential candidate, the chairman of Bappilu PPP ensured that the party would continue to support Ganjar Pranowo. In fact, he is optimistic about winning the democratic contestation.

"PPP remains istikamah. We suggest this is worship. I will propose to Mr. Mardiono if in the end it is chosen by Ganjar-Anies, we invite Democrats and PKS to fight together," he said.

Although there is no certainty about the discourse, according to an experience that has been a vice presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election, working with the party is certainly very good. However, it has not become a joint decision.

"I need an underline, don't make assumptions. However, if that's the decision, and we have 2 months left or 58 days left for determination, we have to socialize it down, especially to young people because they are the determinants," Sandiaga said.
