10 Village Heads In Aceh Jaya Dismissed Because They Are Advanced To Become Legislative Candidates

BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Jaya Regency Government (Pemkab) dismissed 14 keuchiks (village heads) for resigning and running for legislative candidate for the Aceh Jaya DPRK in the 2024 election.

"Until now, 14 keuchik people have been dismissed, 10 for being legislative candidates while the other four have resigned," said Head of Administration of the Aceh Jaya Secretariat, Dahrial, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 23.

His party is also preparing a decree (SK) for dismissal for one of the new keuchik who is also known to be running for legislative member.

"In this case, we have coordinated with the Camat and DPMPKB to immediately prepare the decree for the dismissal of the person concerned and raise a new keuchik," said Dahrial.

Aceh Jaya Regional Secretary T Reza Fahlevi has reminded all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and gampong apparatus and TUa Peut not to be political in the upcoming 2024 General Election.

"We ask all ASN and village officials to be neutral and can exercise their voting rights in the election booth later," said Reza Fahlevi.

The Regional Secretary reminded that every employee involved in politics is practically subject to sanctions in accordance with ASN regulations. ASN must be neutral in accordance with Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning ASN.

"ASN as state servants, let us work to serve the community well and not enter practical politics, because if the sanctions are caught and dismissal with disrespect," said Reza.
