Tak Sudi Duet, Demokrat Tegaskan Anies Dan Ganjar Punya Jalan Sendiri

JAKARTA - The Democrat Party stated that it did not want to pair the presidential candidate for the Change Coalition Anies Baswedan with the reading of PDIP President Ganjar Pranowo. The Coordinator of the Democratic Party DPP Spokesperson, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, emphasized that Anies had chosen his own path, namely fighting for better changes and improvements for Indonesia.

"The coalition of change already has its own way. We see Mas Anies as a figure or symbol of proper and appropriate change to represent people who want change and improvement. Meanwhile, Mas Ganjar himself already has his own way," said Herzaky Mahendra Putra, in his statement, Wednesday, August 23.

However, continued Herzaky, his party did not rule out the possibility that Anies and Ganjar would work together after the 2024 presidential election. Moreover, he said, both of them are national leaders who want improvements for Indonesia.

"It's just that if we are not together at this time, maybe in the future. After all, the spirit of this change coalition wants to collaborate and synergize with all elements of the nation for a better Indonesia," he explained.

The head of the Democratic Party Bakomstra also invited all parties to maintain a conducive atmosphere so that the 2024 presidential election contestation could run democratically, directly honestly, fairly, without intervention, without pressure.

"Let all the best sons and daughters of the nation fight for ideas, ideas, and concepts to build Indonesia so that it can be better in the future," said Herzaky.
