The Marine and Coast Guard Unit (KPLP), deployed the KPLP patrol boat to assist evacuation efforts and search for victims of the sinking of the Dewi Noor 1 Motor Ship (KM).

SUKABUMI - A resident of Tipar Village, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, who is a family consisting of a father and son who also became victims of the sinking of the Dewi Noor 1 Motorboat (KM) in the Thousand Islands of DKI Jakarta on Saturday morning. "The information obtained was that two of our residents were also victims from Tipar Village, RT 13 RW 04 Kertajaya Village, Simpenan District. The two victims were identified as Nedin and Riana who were father and son," said Kertajaya Village Secretary, Asep Nana Sobarna in Sukabumi, Antara, Tuesday, August 22. According to Asep, the information was obtained from the Simpenan Police who had visited the residence of the victim and the Kertajaya Village Office. The two residents entered the victim who died and the body was only found on Monday. Not only that, there is still one other victim, namely Hamdi who is also Nedin's child. The victim has not been found. To confirm Hamdi's fate, until now his party and the victim's family are still waiting for further information and coordinating with the police.

"To pick up the body of the deceased, we from the village together with the victim's family will come directly to Jakarta, precisely at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital because the information is that Nedin and Riana's bodies have been evacuated to the hospital," he added.
