The Boy Who Drowned In The Excavation Of The Mangkrak Project Rasuna Sahid Was Found Dead

JAKARTA - A 13-year-old boy who was reported missing in a former building project excavation pool in the Rasuna Sahid area, Setiabudi, South Jakarta was finally found. The victim with the initials MR was found dead.

South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Picket Officer Slamet said he had been searching for almost six hours.

The victim was found not far from the starting point reported missing at around 22.17 WIB. The victim was found dead," said Slamet when confirmed, Monday, August 21.

Slamet explained that his party used the anchor method when searching.

"The anchor method is a combination of the blender method. We break the rope by anchoring the hook, finally we twist the position from the last point of view of the victim," he said.

After being found, the victim was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Central Jakarta, for further action.

Previously, a boy aged about 13 years drowned in a former building excavation pool on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, RT 01/06, Guntur Village, Setiabudi District, South Jakarta, Sunday afternoon, August 20.

As of Sunday night, August 20, South Jakarta Gulkarmat officers were still searching for the boy.

"The search has been carried out since 17.37 WIB by 3 units containing 11 personnel. The victim is still being searched," said the picket officer, Slamet in his report, Sunday, August 20.
