Investigators of the Tipidkor Ditreskrimsus Polda East Java have pocketed the names of potential suspects in the case of alleged forgery of authentic deeds and corruption in the issuance of land and building Use Rights (HGB) at the Surabaya Wismilak building.

"There should be three (suspect candidates), but we just received sad news that one of the potential suspects died," said Director of Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) of the East Java Police, Kombes Farman, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 15.

The three potential suspects are related to alleged violations of Articles 266 and 263 of the Criminal Code regarding letter forgery. The potential suspects are from the seller of the building land which is now named Grha Wismilak.

Farman explained that the object that was now confiscated had been occupied by the Indonesian Police from 1945 to 1993 and was last occupied as the South Surabaya Police Headquarters.

"Surprisingly, from 1945 to 1993, the position of this object is still being controlled, how come HGB-HGB can appear," he said.

Indeed, he continued, in the middle of that there is data about dead HGB which then becomes the basis for buying and selling until the issuance of new HGB. However, the matter is still being investigated.

"If we acknowledge the existence of the HGB, so finally there is a PPJB between Nyono Handoko and Willy Walla for the purchase of a dead HGB and the object that is still occupied by the police in 1992," said Farman.

In addition, he continued, the HGB numbers 648 and 649 which were used as the basis for ownership of Grha Wismilak were based on the Regional Office of BPN Number 551 and 1052 which turned out to be not registered or not registered with BPN. In fact, it is impossible for HGB to appear based on decrees that are not registered with BPN.

On that basis, in the case title carried out by the investigator, it was concluded that the HGB which is currently held by the Wismilak was issued through procedures that violated the applicable regulations.

Therefore, said Farman, it is very possible that later there will be suspects from the National Defense Agency (BPN).

PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur's attorney, Sutrisno, said that his client bought the land and a lot of money in 1993 from a banker named Nyono Handoko. At that time, the condition of the building was empty and certified on behalf of Nyono.

The building was then used as an office by three companies under the auspices of the Wismilak Group, namely PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur, PT. Bumi Inti Makmur, and PT. Gelora Djaja.

During the 30 years occupied, there were no legal problems accepted by the Wismilak for ownership of the land and historical buildings.

"There are no legal or prosecution problems and so on, and even buy them legally," said Sutrisno.
