Wearing Scout Uniforms, President And First Lady Review National Raimuna XII

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo directly observed the XII National Raimuna activity of the Scout Movement in 2023 which was held at the Cibubur Scout Campground, Jakarta on Tuesday 15 August.

Based on a written statement from the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, in full Scout uniform, Jokowi and Iriana arrived at the activity location at around 07.26 WIB.

The arrival of Jokowi and Iriana was welcomed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo and the Chairman of the National Scout Movement Kwartir Budi Waseso.

After that, the President, who is also the Chair of the National Guidelines Council (Mabinas) of the Scout Movement, visited the main field of the National Raimuna.

The President and Iriana then reviewed the food security area consisting of plantations and livestock areas, as well as had a dialogue with a number of Scout members regarding plant maintenance and the use of used goods.

National Raimuna is a meeting party for Scout members of the Enforcement and Pandemic (age 16-25 years) group from all over Indonesia.

This activity is carried out in approximately every five years with the aim of strengthening brotherhood between ethnicity and culture, increasing the spirit of nationalism, introducing Indonesian diversity, and strengthening the sense of having fellow Scout members.

Raimuna Nasional XII Year 2023 carries the theme "Build Our Generation" or abbreviated as "BANGKIT".

The activity, which was attended by around 17,000 participants, was officially opened by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin on Monday, August 14, and will last for eight days until August 21, 2023.

At the XII National Raimuna, participants were also able to participate in a number of programs such as Bangkit Campus, Mangang Bangkit, Culinary Nusantara, Beranda Nusantara, to meet inspiring figures.
