Hundreds Of Personnel From The Central Java Police Are Ready To Secure The Asean Economic Minister Meeting In Semarang

Central Java Police are preparing to secure Asean Economic Ministers and Related Meetings (AEM) activities in the Semarang area of Central Java which will be held on Thursday, August 17-22, 2023.

The troop deployment ceremony was held in the courtyard of the Central Java Governor's office, led directly by the Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi accompanied by a number of officials including the Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen.

A total of 781 multi-functional personnel participated in these activities including bomb disposal (Jibom), K-9 animals to health personnel involving the health team from relevant stakeholders.

The Central Java Police Chief explained that the security ceremony was used to consolidate the readiness to secure the AEM activities.

"As ordered by the National Police Chief, the National Police together with the TNI and other stakeholders participated in supporting the security of national and international activities," said Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, in a written statement, Tuesday, August 15.

The Kapolda added that the security activity for this ministerial meeting was the second time after activities in Magelang some time ago.

"Security is carried out both behind closed and open, there are also those attached to the subjects and objects, all of which are complete, including from the Brimobda Jibom of the Central Java Police," added the Kapolda.

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin appreciated and supported the security readiness of the police in the Asean Economic Ministers (AEM) activities in the Central Java Region.

"The security has been carried out by the police together with related parties, we are only supportive because this is an activity from the central government," said Taj Yasin.

In order to introduce the potential that exists in the Central Java region, his party will also promote the event. Later, the Central Java Provincial Government will not only offer a number of tourism potentials but also the potential for MSMEs that have been registered from the trade and cooperative offices plus Halal products managed by MSMEs.

The Secretariat of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of International Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), Ari Satria added, in the international event a number of additional events will be held including the development of the digital economy in the Asean area and launching of Asean-level online sales.

"In the Asean Economic Ministers And Related Meetings meeting later, the Minister of Trade and the Minister of Investment will attend from Indonesia," he concluded.
