Victim Withdraws Report, Senior Actor Pierre Gruno Freed From Criminal Beating Case

JAKARTA - The victim of the beating of senior actor Pierre Gruno, the initials GDS finally officially withdrew his report at the South Jakarta Metro Police. The step was taken after the perpetrator (Pierre) apologized and admitted his mistake.

GDS Hoarnaning's attorney said that Pierre's family had apologized and Pierre also regretted his actions. On that basis, the victim withdrew his report to the senior actor.

"Because we were aware of his mistake and sincerely apologized, so we welcomed the process and we came here in the process of carrying out restorative justice," Hoarnaning told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday, August 14.

"Then on our client's decision, of course, we have submitted the revocation of the report," he continued.

In addition, in the restorative justice process, said Hoarnaning, it is also supported by the victim's extended family.

"Our clients with various considerations, considerations that have been supported by our client's family for restorative justice and solving this problem," he said.
