The Thick Support For Prabowo, Democrats The Value Of The Game Changer For The Constitutional Court's Decision On The Lawsuit For The Age Of The Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - PAN and Golkar have officially imposed their support for the future presidential candidate (candidate) of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) cum Ketum Gerindra Prabowo Subianto.

This means that the entire 9 parliamentary parties have confirmed their support in the 2024 presidential election ahead of the registration of the presidential candidate pair and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) which will open from 19 October.

"Before two months of registration, the support direction of parliamentary parties has narrowed all," commented Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party Jansen Sitindaon on his Twitter account, @jansen_jsp, Sunday, August 13.

With the declaration of PAN and Gerindra today, Jansen also congratulated Prabowo. He was amazed by the Minister of Defense who received the full support of 4 parliamentary parties to compete in the 2024 presidential election contestation.

"Congratulations to Mr. @prabowo. It's true now that the supporters are carrying it. 4 parliamentary parties. See you in the election tomorrow, all of you," said Jansen.

However, Jansen assessed that the addition or even reduction of the direction of support for the presidential candidate could occur considering that there was a lawsuit related to the requirements for the presidential and vice presidential candidate's age limit to be reduced to a minimum of 25 years from 40 years.

The lawsuit at the Constitutional Court (MK) was filed on behalf of a number of residents including the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). This lawsuit also received support from the Gerindra Party and Garuda Party.

"We are just waiting for the U-35 lawsuit to pass at the Constitutional Court. There is the game changer," said Jansen.
