SERANG - Police arrested the perpetrator with the initials SR (37) for allegedly beating his stepfather, FS (59) to death. The motive is allegedly due to the love triangle of a stepfather with his own wife. Serang Police Chief Kompol Teddy Heru Murtian said the incident took place in Cipare, Serang City, Saturday, August 12 at around 15.30 WIB. Not long after the incident, the perpetrator was arrested. “Betul, arrested the perpetrator at around 16.30 WIB. When arrested, the perpetrator did not fight back, Teddy said when confirmed, Sunday, August 13. The incident began with the perpetrator who was suspicious of his stepfather having an affair with his own wife. When asked, the victim did not accept it and got emotional so that a commotion broke out. FS then took a block to hit SR. SR can avoid being hit by the beam of his stepfather. Both of them got emotional, SR ran towards his house and took a block. Sir, the victim's head was then hit. "The nose and ears of the victim were bleeding as a result of the blow," he continued. Residents who knew about the incident tried to help the victim by taking him to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately the victim died. The police who received the information immediately arrested the perpetrator at the crime scene (TKP). Now, SR has taken him to the Serang Police for further action.

"The perpetrator is subject to Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, concerning persecution that results in the death of the victim," he concluded.
