East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Heri Sulistianto reviewed preparations for the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) activity in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai.

"The Deputy Chief of the NTT Police has seen firsthand the venues and facilities at a number of meeting locations and lodging of the delegates, as well as tourist spots that will be visited by the delegates," said West Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Ari Satmoko as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.

The Deputy Chief of the NTT Police checked several locations in Labuan Bajo for two days.

Since arriving in Labuan Bajo, Thursday, August 10, the Deputy Chief of the NTT Police has immediately checked the VIPs of Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport, Labuan Bajo Hotel, West Manggarai Police's New Mako, and Company Mobile Brigade 4 Yon B Pioneer Labuan Bajo.

Furthermore, on the second day, the Deputy Chief of Police of NTT visited the Meruorah Labuan Bajo Hotel.

The 17th AMMTC is scheduled to take place from August 19 to August 23, 2023 in Labuan Bajo.

AMMTC is a ministerial-level meeting that specializes in discussing cross-border crime issues in ASEAN.

The activity will be attended by delegates from ASEAN member countries and ASEAN partners, namely China, Japan, and South Korea to discuss the issue of international crime.

Given the importance of these activities, said Ari, the police must ensure security both before activities, during activities, and after activities take place.

This activity is said to be a stimulus and a branding for Labuan Bajo in the future.
