After undergoing a series of 44th ASEAN Inter Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly, delegates from Parliament 9 ASEAN Countries, Observer countries and international organizations took the time to visit Small Indonesia, namely Taman Mini Indonesia (TMII). They also enjoy various Indonesian cultures.

As the host of the 44th AIPA General Assembly, the Indonesian House of Representatives wants to give a beautiful impression to the delegates before returning to their country. Therefore, the DPR invited the AIPA delegation to see a miniature of Indonesia at TMII, East Jakarta, Thursday, August 10.

With 9 electric buses, the AIPA delegation began to enjoy the pavilion of traditional houses from all provinces in the country, one of which was the pavilion of the West Sumatra traditional house.

At each platform, the delegates were greeted by guests wearing traditional clothes. For example, at the West Sumatra platform, guests appear to be wearing traditional Minang clothes equipped with gold ornaments accessories and head decorations that are exactly like a gadang house.

"The purpose of the delegation was brought to Taman Mini, because TMII presented Indonesia in a smaller way in miniature. Because they did not have time to make visits throughout Indonesia from Aceh to Papua," said Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives' Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), Putu Supadma Rudana.

In addition to the regional pavilions, the AIPA delegation was invited to see various Indonesian poultry animals at the Bird Palace Tourism Park at TMII. Members of the delegation who also seemed enthusiastic to see the animals at the Bird Palace such as predators, white beo, doug, eagles, and billboards.

The collection at the TMII Bird Palace is the most complete in Indonesia because it consists of 175 types of birds and poultry with a total of thousands of tails. Both from western Indonesia and eastern Indonesia.

After enjoying the various cultures and beauty of Indonesian animals, the AIPA delegation then received a lunch at the Bantu Murung Restaurant around the TMII complex. At this restaurant, the delegation was treated with typical Indonesian foods ranging from Telor Balado, Rendang Padang to Es Selendang Mayang.

According to Putu, visits to TMII will provide extraordinary experiences for AIPA delegates who are not necessarily obtained in other countries.

After lunch, the AIPA delegation then continued to tour TMII. At the Papuan pavilion, the delegation members were again amazed by Indonesia's cultural wealth. After seeing the culture from west Indonesia, they were disturbed by the beauty of culture from Eastern Indonesia.

A number of delegates even looked amazed to see Honai, a traditional house of Papuans usually made of wood structure with a straw roof. Honai's house was found in valleys and mountains in Papua.

At the Papuan pavilion, the delegation was also treated with a dance performance from Papua, namely the War Dance or Falapea Dance. The Papuan Pavilion is the last location visited by AIPA delegates.

Then they gathered again at the Keong Mas Tourism House to return to the hotel and continue to return to their respective countries. One of the delegates stated that TMII had represented Indonesia enough and made beautiful memories for every visitor.
