For Acehnese, Get Ready Next Month For Injection Of The COVID-19 Vaccine

JAKARTA - The head of the Aceh Health Service, Hanif, stated that local people will undergo a COVID-19 vaccination in March 2021, after the ongoing injection of vaccines for health workers.

"For the rest of the general public, we will start (the injection) in March, when vaccination for health workers has been completed," said Hanif in Banda Aceh City, reported by Antara, Monday, February 1.

Aceh is targeting vaccine injections to 3.7 million people. Hanif said, until now the vaccination that is prioritized for health workers has not reached 100 thousand people.

"So quite a lot, it's still quite a long process. Our target is that one year (the process) of vaccination can be completed, ”said Hanif.

After the injection of health personnel is complete, according to Hanif, it is immediately followed by injection of the TNI-Polri and the state civilian apparatus (ASN) who are in charge of public services.

Hanif invited the local community, nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca, to undergo vaccine injections. Because, according to him, vaccination is a government program in an effort to control the spread of the corona virus.

"People must take advantage of this. There is no other way to avoid being infected with COVID-19 other than vaccination, to form antibodies, "said Hanif.

As is known, the Aceh Government is targeting the COVID-19 vaccination to reach 3.7 million people and run smoothly.

In the first stage, vaccination is prioritized for 56,450 health workers and then 365,394 public service officers including the TNI-Polri.

After that, vaccination will be carried out on 1,771,014 people in vulnerable community groups and 1,592,752 people in the category of essential business actors and other community groups.
