Allegedly A TNI-Polri Spy, KKB Shoots Dead Residents In Intan Jaya

JAKARTA - The armed criminal group (KKB) is reported to have shot dead civilians of Boni Bagau near the border of Sugapa District-Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua because they were suspected of being spies for the TNI-Polri.

Reported by Antara, Monday, February 1, Information about the shooting of civilians was strengthened by a letter brought by Pastor Yustinus Rahangiyar from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Undius Kogoya.

"It is true that there were reports of the shooting of Boni Bagau which was reported by the family of the victim Wilem Bagau to the Sugapa Police, Saturday, January 30," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Ahmad Kamal in Jayapura, Monday, February 1.

Admittedly, the report was based on a letter brought by Pastur Rahangiyar from KKB, namely from the Undius Kogoya group which was addressed to the TNI-Polri in Intan Jaya which stated that they had shot civilians around the border between Sugapa District and Homeyo District.

The letter contained a notification regarding the shooting of the Bagau clan, explained Kamal, adding that the shooting was carried out because the victim was suspected of being a TNI-Polri spy.

"The contents of the letter from the KKB stated that the shooting of the victim was suspected of being a TNI-Polri spy," said Kamal.

Kamal said, from the report received after receiving the report, a meeting was held with the victim's family at the Sugapa Police, Saturday, January 30, evening.

The meeting was continued the next day, Sunday, January 31, at the room of the Pastoran Kampung Bilogai, Sugapa District which was attended by the TNI-Polri, leaders and families of the victims (Wilem Bagau) who discussed the plan to evacuate Boni Bagau's body.

During the meeting, the victim's parents Gad Bagau asked that the victim be buried in Agapa Village considering the situation and conditions that would not have been possible if he was taken or taken to Sugapa District and Homeyo District.

The TNI-Polri security apparatus is still investigating the reports of the shooting, added Kombes Kamal.
