Ganjar Bans State Schools In Central Java To Hold Diplomas For Any Reason

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo emphasized that there will be no more incidents of schools holding graduate diplomas on the basis of arrears in payments or whatever the reason. According to him, there is no term arrears in payments at public schools.

"Yes, there are only a few, who usually have problems (containing diplomas), tell us to send them, and later if there are, we will take care of them. Whether it's a country or a private sector," said Ganjar Pranowo while attending the Sports and Art Week (Porseni) of the Central Java Family Planning Extension Association (IPEKB) at GOR Tri Sanja, Slawi, Tegal Regency, Wednesday, July 26.

Ganjar said that it was certain that no public schools would detain graduate diplomas. If it is still found, Ganjar ensures that it will be taken care of and completed in no more than two days.

"I will make sure the public schools are done tomorrow morning," he continued.

The white-haired politician also said there was no such thing as arrears in payments to government-run schools.

"If in the country we make sure if it is stuck tomorrow morning out. If there is arrears, then we will finish it because in the country the arrears do not apply," explained Ganjar.

Not only in public schools, the Governor of Central Java for two terms will also negotiate if the detention of diplomas is carried out by private schools.

"If we are private, we must first negotiate with the school first. In the private sector, we must talk to schools and foundations," he added.

On that occasion, Ganjar was also committed to closing opportunities for illegal levies (extortion) in schools. Ganjar's seriousness is proven by his firmness in taking a stand when he finds a school that commits extortion.

In addition, he has also opened a complaint for students and the public if they see an incident of extortion.

"We will definitely clarify and verify whether it is true or not. If it is true (to commit extortion) we will give sanctions," explained Ganjar.
