Acting Regent Proposes Bekasi Regency To Become A Special Economic Area For Education

JABAR - Bekasi Regency is proposed to become a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Education to the National Economic Council. The proposal is in the context of increasing superior human resource capacity (HR) in the education sector.

Acting (Pj) Bekasi Regent Dani Ramdan said that this Education SEZ is expected to be able to help expand local workers, which is the result of the superior education development process needed by companies in industrial estates.

"Given that Bekasi Regency is one of the regions with the largest economic growth value in Indonesia, my duty as a regional leader is three things, including being able to prosper the community, creating justice, and making changes in managing local governments," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java (West Java), Monday, July 24, confiscated by Antara.

Improvement in community welfare, he said, is influenced by the quality of education, health, and other social security so that people have the ability to compete.

The key to other welfare, he said, is economic growth that can be created through investment. In order for investment to be realized, there must be legal certainty, security guarantees, and optimal infrastructure services.

"On the other hand, I see an industry in Bekasi Regency, not only just a place to work, but also a place to study and practice directly, because in schools it is only theoretical," he said.

Dani assessed that the realization of the Education SEZ in Bekasi Regency would be able to have a positive impact, such as the presence of quality education schools that were able to score graduates of superior human resources.

"Also students can practice directly in industrial areas through the Handling program," he said.
