Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo accompanied Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the peak of the commemoration of the 39th National Children's Day (HAN) in 2023 at Pancasila Simpanglima Field, Semarang City, Sunday, July 23 afternoon. At least 750 children from various parts of Indonesia participated in the event.

During the commemoration, a number of children's requests were heard which had been formulated by the Indonesian Children's Forum through Suara Anak Indonesia. Among other things, for the government to optimize the construction of child-friendly facilities.

In addition, so that the government also optimizes the involvement and realization of children's roles and participation in decision making. As well as optimizing the education of children and parents in parenting to prevent child marriage.

Related to that, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said that Suara Anak Indonesia is a manifestation of the child's right to be heard, pay attention to his aspirations and be given the opportunity to participate in development.

"I have ordered that the voice that has been conveyed by Indonesian children be carried out immediately," he said.

Governor Ganjar said, since his first term in office, children have been involved in regional development. They are one of three groups given the first affirmation to be able to convey their aspirations in the Musrenbang.

"We are pushing for decision makers to formulate policies that are not too masculine, their only business is physical without paying attention to what is the access to the three groups that I think need this affirmation action," he said.

In line with that, Ganjar also provides space to encourage children to develop themselves. To become a good pioneer and reporter through application innovation, one of which is Jogo Konco.

"So that children can provide good reports and without having to feel afraid, let alone threatened," he said, who was present with his wife, Siti Atikoh Ganjar Praowo.

Jogo Konco itself was originally a derivative movement from Jogo Tonggo. The mutual cooperation-based movement he initiated during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In the movement, Ganjar encouraged children to take care of each other's friends so as not to bully each other and take care of their friends to love each other.

"I think ethically, we must give the values of this kindness to the children. So that later he will have self-control, so that if he wants to do bad things to himself he already exists," he said.

Ganjar hopes that on this HAN commemoration the children will get the world they need. And happy wherever they are.

"So they become a happy generation and ready to pick up the future," he said.

Present at the event were PPPA Minister Bintang Puspayoga, Semarang Mayor Hevearita G Rahayu, Head of BKKBN Hasto Wardoyo, Kabareskrim Polri Komjen Wahyu Widada and regional heads throughout Indonesia who received the 2023 KLA award.

To note, the peak of HAN 2023 will be held in Semarang City. The series of events has started since last Thursday, July 20 with the National Children's Forum. In addition to 750 children from all over Indonesia, it is estimated that 2,500 invitations were present in person and 10,000 people participated online.
