The process of granting remissions to child inmates has met administrative and substantive requirements. The children have served more than 3 months and have not reached the age of 18, by attaching a photocopy of birth certificates or certificates from the head of the family stating that they are not 18 years old.
The decision to grant this remission is based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections, Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 174 of 1999 concerning Remissions, and a letter from the Director General of Corrections Number PAS.PK.05.04-955 dated 6 June 2023.
