Kapolda Calls South Kalimantan In The Safe Category Of Election Insecurity Index Ahead Of 2024

The police stated that South Kalimantan (Kalsel) was categorized as safe in the election vulnerability index (IKP) ahead of the 2024 General Election.

South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Andi Rian Djajadi said the category marked the people of South Kalimantan fully support the democratic party to be cool and peaceful.

Previously, the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) mapped the potential for vulnerability in 514 districts and cities in Indonesia.

Bawaslu carried out early detection of potential election violations from a four-dimensional assessment recorded in the 2024 Election Insecurity Index (IKP).

South Kalimantan is in the category of moderate vulnerability with a score of 53.35 for IKP with things that affect vulnerabilities, including the dimensions of election administration, socio-political context, contestation and political participation.
