Borrowing A Motorbike Says Visiting Sick Children Turns Out To Be Pawned IDR 12 Million To Play Online Gambling

CILACAP A teenage boy with the initials YRH (23) in Cilacap depends on playing online gambling. In fact, a resident of Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency, was desperate to pawn his friend's motorbike.

Head of Public Relations of the Cilacap Police, Iptu Gatot Tri Hartanto, explained that the incident began on June 28, 2023 when Wakhid, as a victim, voluntarily lent a YRH motorbike, because they had been friends for a long time.

YRH admitted to the Wakhid that the motorbike he borrowed was used to meet his sick son, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

The resident of Nusawungu District, Cilacap Regency, did not have the heart and intended to help YRH who was in need.

However, after three days had passed, YRH did not give Wakhid news. Suddenly this made Wakhid worried about something against his friend.

Wakhid also looked for information from his friends about the whereabouts of YRH. However, Wakhid would be surprised when his friend told him that his motorbike had been pawned to someone he didn't know.

Anger peaked, the kindness given became a bitter pill for Wakhid. Then he looked for the whereabouts of YRH.

Until finally YRH was found by Wakhid, it was true that his motorbike had been pawned by YRH in the amount of Rp. 12,500,000. Wakhid was even more angry when he found out that the money from the motorbike pawn was used to play online gambling.

Even though he was a friend, Wakhid still reported YRH to the Nusawungu Police, Cilacap Police. YRH can easily be arrested for further processing.

Now YRH is confined in the cell. For his actions, YRH was charged with a criminal act of embezzlement as referred to in Article 372 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 378 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison.
