No Casualties, Losses Due To Fire Incident At Tembilahan Hospital Riau Reaches IDR 1.2 Billion

RIAU - Puri Husada Tembilahan Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Regency, Riau Province experienced a fire that scorched a number of rooms with losses estimated at IDR 1.2 billion. "The physical loss of the building is estimated at Rp1.2 billion, while the equipment inside is being calculated,” said Director of Puri Husada Hospital Tembilahan, Dr Saut Pakpahan, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 18. He said the fire broke out at around 03.30 WIB. The fire destroyed the Poly Paru room, medical records room, Fisiotherapy room, Pharmacy Warehouse room and CCTV monitor room. He also said that the cause of this fire was still under investigation by the police. Meanwhile, the Head of the Tembilahan Police, Iptu Danu, said that at the incident there were no casualties. "There were no casualties against the fire incident," said Danu. The police chief said that the fire could only be extinguished at around 05.30 WIB after two fire engines, five BPBD fire engines, one PSMTI fire engine and one Padupai fire engine arrived at the location. "Currently, the cooling process is still being carried out at the location of the fire," said Danu. A resident whose house is not far from the location, Udin (47) said that at the time of the fire there was a sound of explosions several times from the location.

"At that time I was in front of the hospital's front house. Suddenly there was an explosion several times. When I headed to the location of the explosion, it was seen that the fire had flared near the poly-pulmonary room," he said.
