Andika Perkasa Is Ready If Asked To Be Ganjar Pranowo's Vice Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa said he was ready if PDIP asked to become a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) to accompany Ganjar Pranowo's future presidential candidate (candidate).

This was conveyed by Andika while attending a campaigner training event to win Ganjar. Andika is also one of the participants in the activity.

"I am ready (to become a vice presidential candidate for Ganjar). Whatever is assigned, I am ready," said Andika in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18.

In this activity, Andika taught these young campaigners to promote Ganjar through his performance while serving as Governor of Central Java.

In recent surveys, Andika claims Ganjar has succeeded in reducing the poverty rate in the area he leads.

"The period during his tenure, especially in the last three years, has continued to decline. If for example 2021, 9.92 percent of the number of poor people in Central Java, the number in 2023 is up to 9.7. So, there is a decrease," said Andika.

Andika also asked campaigners to promote Ganjar as the most superior presidential reading to fulfill the public's desire to elect candidates in the 2024 presidential election in terms of integrity to improve welfare.

"Our positioning, which I offer to all winning teams, is that we always position Mas Ganjar in his place," said Andika.

Andika admitted that he did not receive special directions, both from PDIP and President Jokowi in helping Ganjar win the 2024 presidential election.

"There is no (special direction) yet, but I also feel challenged because the material I provide is also forced to be specific, it must be to the point, what point will really help Mas Ganjar to increase his voice," he added.
