YOGYAKARTA Installation of billboards is often carried out by political parties (Parpol) in promoting their cadres when advancing in political contestation. In fact, billboards are one of the campaign attributes that is effective enough to attract public attention. Related to this, the Umun Election Commission (KPU) has rules in the installation of billboards. So what are the rules for installing billboards according to the KPU?

Based on the rules of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia No. 33 of 2018 concerning the Second Amendment to the General Election Commission Regulation Number 23 of 2018 concerning General Election Campaigns, various Campaign Performance Equipment (APK) is regulated.

Article 32 (1) states that election participants are allowed to print and install campaign props.

Alat Peraga Campaign as referred to in paragraph (1) includes: a. billboards, billboards, or videotron; b. banners; and/or c. umbul-umbul.

Each prop has their own rules. This means that election participants are not allowed to install campaign props carelessly. The provisions of the campaign props are as follows.

Article 32 paragraphs 4 and 5 also explains that the APK design contains at least several things, namely vision, mission, and the Election Contesting program. In addition, the APK is also prioritized to use recycled materials.
